The Longest, Darkest Night

Yesterday marked the one month remaining mark in the Obama Presidency. It also marked the one month mark until Donald Trump becomes President. For about 65 million of us, that is a pretty somber occasion.

I guess that makes it fitting that last night was the longest, darkest night in 500 years then:
Thanks to a lunar eclipse on the longest night of the year, tonight we'll be experiencing the longest, darkest night in a very long time. It's been nearly 500 years since the last solstice lunar eclipse. Here's what you'll see.
My picture, top, is what I could see here in Palmer Township at 3 am. The picture just above is what someone with a much cooler camera could take of an eclipse for their article, somewhere.

Anyway, happy December 21st. Today is the actual Solstice. It's officially Winter now.
